The early history of the Domocratic Party in America

Is the Democratic Party exactly what they want us to believe they are, or are there skeletons in their closets that they’re hiding?
Here are some things that the Democratic party doesn’t want you to know.
In 1857, southern states adopted a pro-slavery platform and elected John C. Breckinridge to the office of Vice President of the United States. John Cabell Breckinridge (January 16, 1821 – May 17, 1875) took a states’ rights position, in 1849, against interference with slavery. He later ran for President of the United States on a platform that supported slavery, he was defeated by Abraham Lincoln, a Republican. Now let’s look at the American civil war. What caused the American Civil war? Well, the American civil war began because the Southern Democrats wanted to keep their slaves and wanted to be able to take them wherever they wished. Another factor was that they wanted to expand their territory. They wanted to take their slaves to the Western territories, while the North wanted to keep that territory open only to white labor. The election of Abraham Lincoln, without a single southern electoral vote was a clear sign to the Southern states that they had lost their influence. But, instead of realizing that that was the new law of the land, they tried to secede from the Union, and feeling excluded from the political system, they turned to the only possibility they thought they had left, secession, which of course, directly led to the civil war.

Now, I’m not just Democrat bashing, as I believe nobody is all bad or all good. I’m only giving you the true history. Tune in next time when we will be discussing how the KKK was founded and by whom.
